What we offer with the traditional tented safari is the chance to come and hunt Africa the way it was a 100 years ago. Come and enjoy your stay in a tented fly camp with all that is needed to make your hunt an enjoyable Africa experience.

$195 pppd 1x1 (one hunter / one professional hunter)
$150 pppd 2x1 (two hunters / one professional hunter)

 

Included in the price:

  • Services of a Professional Hunter, Trackers, Skinners, Cook & Camp Staff
  • Johannesburg Airport Transfer
  • Transportation during the hunt

  • Three meals per day as well as refreshments

    Cost of Ammo
    I went to the Sporting goods store to buy some ammo yesterday for my 308. I havent purchased any ammo in about a year because i Had a few boxes stocked up. Well- I picked up a box of Federal & to my Surprise~ It Cost $52.00 for a box of 20 Rounds!! WTF!! Where can we buy ammo for a reasonable price? Any Ideas??

    What Makes a Hunter??
    I just got this months issue of Petersen's Hunting- There was an interesting article about "What Makes A Hunter" by Michael Waddel In Truth - What is it that defines the type of hunter you are? Is it how hard you hunt? How often you go? The trophy you drag back to camp? Is someone less of a hunter because they hunt from a tree stand as opposed to stalkiing deer on the ground? Or Hunting over bait as opposed to grunting & Rattling in a Deer? Does shooting a small buck or a doe mean you are not a good hunter? The article discussed all of this & the fact is, if you get out into the woods,  give it your all & enjoy what you do - YOU are a hunter. It does not matter if you bag a spike, a B&C Trophy or come up empty. We are a part of something. We are a brotherhood of hunters. It is part of our history.  It is part of who we are. The article is worth a read. Thanks guys

    NEW HUNTER
     Hello to all, my name is Mike.  I recently purchased my first guns.  A Marlin 336 in 30-30 winchester, and a mossberg 500 in a 20 gauge. i also have a 12 gauge, but thats for home defense purposes.  my main reason for starting this topic is because i am very interested in hunting, however i do not know anyone that hunts.  i am taking my hunter safety course the first week of june (2 weeks) i am looking for someone to take me under their wing and basically teach me how to hunt, and do it while still showing respect for the outdoors and other living creatures as well as being mindful of other hunters.  i am willing to pay for any expenses that are necessary, however im not trying to break the bank.  i am becoming a marine in the next few months and this is something i have wanted to do all my life, but it goes against everything i was ever taught growing up.  hunting is also something that i was taught never to do, however i have always wanted to.  i would like the opportunity to try it before going to parris island.  if anyone is interested please do not hesitate to contact me.  thanks for taking the time to read this...---Mike
