• I have always been a daddy's girl so where ever he went I was right there beside him, little did I know that would lead me to where I am today. At the age of 6 I followed my father to his ground blind in the middle of December. We were sitting and waiting patiently for the Whitetail to start moving.

After a few hours a single doe had poked her head right into the blind and looked straight at me. I could see the moisture on her nose and count every eyelash. It was at that point I noticed the beauty of wildlife and discovered the love of outdoors and archery. I was hooked!

In my 24 years of hunting I have had the privilege of hunting Elk in Montana, Hogs in Georgia, as well as fishing countless bodies of water all over the US. My biggest hunting accomplishments have been in the state of Kansas where I currently reside. Here I have had the opportunity to hunt and tag every wild game possible.

Just in the last few years I have developed a large interest in getting children involved in the outdoors. I feel that it is important to teach our youth conservation and proper hunting ethics. I count my blessings and thank GOD everyday for all the opportunities that have been given to me and want to pass that on to future generations.

    • Scott Stover (Georgia)-Scott started his hunting career at age 12 with his Dad and Grandfather. They spent time chasing rabbits, ring necked pheasants and deer across the fields and small woodlots of central and northern Pennsylvania. His passion for whitetail deer hunting was ignited by spending time in Tioga County PA at Woodhouse Hunting Club learning the ins and outs of how to truly become an outdoorsman. Scott says “My Dad taught me what it truly means to be not only a good hunter, but a conservationist by respecting what you have, don’t take anything for granted and enjoy the time spent outdoors.” In the years that followed, he has had a chance to hunt places such as Alaska, Illinois and finally South Georgia where he currently resides. His passion is archery hunting whitetail deer, turkeys and wild hogs, but also enjoys inshore fishing for speckled trout in the Gulf of Mexico, and the tidal waters of the big bend area in Florida. During the offseason he spends his time scouting the areas around Berrien County Ga, and planning for the next season as well as spending time with friends and family.

    • Shelby Byrd (Alabama) – Shelby started hunting at a young age when his father would take him along on hunting trips to the woods around where they lived. In the 35+ years since his first hunting trip he has continued to hunt the same woods and has also tried his hunting skills in other locations as the opportunity presents itself. Although he enjoys all types of hunting, Shelby says his favorite type of hunting is chasing whitetail deer and turkey. Shelby also enjoys the chance to hunt with his wife and daughter. They go hunting as a family as often as possible. “Passing on the legacy of hunting to my child the way my dad passed it to me is one of the most important things I can do as a father” Byrd says. “Hunting is a great way to spend time with your kids and teach them respect and responsibility that goes along with the sport.” When he is not in the woods hunting, Shelby has a passion for fishing the Lower Alabama Delta and the Gulf of Mexico.
